Kent brewer Shepherd Neame has launched a new on-trade beer aimed at ale-lovers across the UK.
Beer
writers and the brewing trade press have been targeted by Edwards Harvey to raise awareness of the new ale.
Canterbury
Jack is a light, contemporary beer with a distinct, modern identity, retaining all the quality ingredients and dedication
you’d expect from Britain’s oldest brewer, while offering drinkers something new.
A
3.5% abv cask beer with a crisp, refreshing flavour, Canterbury Jack is hand-crafted by Shepherd Neame’s team of award-winning
brewers, using the highest quality ingredients.
Canterbury Jack is
brewed with pale and crystal malts and gently hopped with Cascade and East Kent Goldings, grown within a few miles of the
brewery. The water used is taken from an artesian well in the chalk beneath the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham, Kent.
This pale chestnut beer tantalises the nostrils with the aroma of grapefruit before full-bodied, malty, citrus notes
delight the palate, leading to a crisp, refreshing, gentle bitter finish.
Canterbury
Jack boasts an eye-catching, embossed pump clip, with large, red lettering, and, like its sister ale Spitfire, has its own
distinctive brand of humorous advertising. A range of Canterbury Jack advertisements show vintage pub scenes mixed with “rap”
characters talking in modern street slang, featuring the end line “the hip hop”.
Canterbury Jack will be available on draught in Shepherd Neame pubs and selected
pubs and bars nationwide.
