Edwards Harvey has welcomed two new members of staff.
David Hanson, who joins as account manager, has extensive experience
in corporate rebranding and has worked with clients across a number of sectors, including retail and banking.
David’s
previous roles include two and a half years as communications officer for the Kent Institute of Art and Design, where he was
responsible for promoting the college’s merger with the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. He also played a key role
in the institute’s rebranding as University College for the Creative Arts.
Amy
Lawrence has been appointed as account executive. In her last role, as public relations officer for Maidstone Borough
Council, Amy led the PR campaign to promote Radio 1’s hugely successful Big Weekend in Maidstone. She was also responsible
for writing and editing the council’s magazine and relaunching its website.
David
and Amy join Edwards Harvey’s experienced food and drink team, working with a number of high-profile clients including
Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame; leading
food and drink producer Bennett Opie; and Bordeaux Index, one of Europe’s largest fine
wine merchants.
Pip Clarkson, Edwards Harvey’s managing director, said: “We’ve
seen considerable growth in the food and drink area of our business, so we’re in the very fortunate position to be able
to expand our team.
“David and Amy have both demonstrated an extremely innovative way of thinking
which will be of huge benefit to our clients. They also have excellent national and regional media contacts and will undoubtedly
be a real asset to the team.”
