Trade shows can be dull affairs so when Hi-Tec Spray asked us to come up with an original idea that would attract attention to its stand at the annual National Painting and Decorator Show at Sandown, we knew it would be a challenge.

Focusing on our client’s core audience of painters and decorating professionals, who need the highest specification paint-spraying equipment, we recruited two of the UK’s finest body painters – fresh from their victory in the World Body Painting Championships - to deck out a model in Hi-Tec Spray livery.

The job took six hours from beginning to end – and the Hi-Tec Spray stand attracted major footfall and generated lots of trade media coverage throughout the day as a result.

The following year, the challenge was on to top Hi-Tec Spray’s attention-grabbing stunt and once again we came up with the goods – a sassy female robot called Zigra.

Zigra attracted scores of enthusiastic visitors to the Hi-Tec Spray stand, where they were given leaflets and goodie bags.
